fem*MAP BERLIN

Eine feministische Perspektive für Berlin heute! Wie könnte eine nicht-sexistische Stadt aussehen?*)

Was bedeutet die feministische Aneignung von (Stadt-)Raum für eine kritische Planungspraxis? Welche feministischen Raumproduktionen lassen sich in Berlin ausfindig machen? Welche Rolle spielen Frauen* in Architektur, Planung und Stadtpolitik, als Nutzer*innen, Praktiker*innen, Entscheider*innen, Kämpfer*innen?

Das Seminar fem* MAP Berlin ist eine Kooperation des CUD mit der alpha nova & galerie futura im Rahmen der Veranstaltungsreihe „Feministische Wohngeschichte(n) für die Zukunft. BERLIN, BAUHAUS und DARÜBER HINAUS“ (https://www.galeriefutura.de/call-for-fem-spatial-positions). Student*innen setzen sich im Rahmen einer ersten Ausstellung mit sechs künstlerischen Positionen zu feministischen Räumen, Praxen und Theorien in Architektur sowie Städtebau auseinander. Mittels raumanalytischer, künstlerischer und sozialforscherischer Methoden wird eine kartographische Rauminstallation entstehen, die mögliche feministische Perspektiven für Berlin heute aufzeigt und sich kritisch mit den Positionen auseinandersetzt.

Im Semester erfolgt die Überarbeitung und Vertiefung der fem*MAP Berlin: Recherchen, Handzeichnungen, Interviews, GIS-Analysen oder Feldarbeit verdichten das Mapping und laden die Inhalte auf. Anfang Juni werden die Ergebnisse des Seminars Teil der Ausstellung [Frau] Architekt*in im Foyer des ifa sein.

Das Seminar ist ein Angebot für M Arch, UD sowie M Arch T (Types and Translation) und wird in drei Phasen angeboten, jede Student*in wählt eines der beiden Camps aus:

fem*MAP BERLIN

A feminist perspective for Berlin today! How could a non-sexist city look like?*)

What does the feminist appropriation of (urban) space mean for a critical planning practice? Which feminist spatial productions can be found in Berlin? What role do women* play in architecture, planning and urban politics, as users, practitioners, decision-makers, fighters?

The seminar fem* MAP Berlin is a cooperation of the CUD with alpha nova & galerie futura within the framework of the event series “Feminist Housing History(s) for the Future. BERLIN, BAUHAUS and DARÜBER HINAUS” (https://www.galeriefutura.de/en/call-for-fem-spatial-positions). Students* are dealing with six artistic positions on feminist spaces, practices and theories in architecture as well as urban planning in the context of a first exhibition. By means of spatial analytical, artistic and social research methods, a cartographic installation will be created that shows possible feminist perspectives for Berlin today and critically examines the positions.

During the semester, the fem*MAP Berlin will be revised and deepened: research, hand drawings, interviews, GIS analyses or fieldwork will condense the mapping and load the contents. At the beginning of June the results of the seminar will be part of the exhibition [Frau] Architekt*in in the foyer of the ifa (Institute for Architecture).

The seminar is an offer for M Arch, UD and M Arch T (Types and Trasnlation) and will be offered in three phases, each student choosing one of the two camps:
